Doutzen Kroes is one of my favorite models, I just love the Victoria Secret shows,
and the fact that Doutzen Kroes is a Dutch model (I’m Dutch too) gives me a proud feeling (strangly enough..). I love the fact that she is toned and healthy at the same time. Thats why she is one of my ‘Muses of all Time”.
In all kind of new interviews Doutzen finnaly opened up on her diet and gym regime. I was very curious about this for a very long time, especially because I am going to the gym now on a regular base (2 / 3 times a week), and was very pleased to read about this kinda stuff. That is why I am going to share this with you too!

You won’t be surprised to read that she has a really strict regime to stay so beautiful. She eats small amounts of food during the day, based on vegetables and soup. She discovered that was no good to just cut out food.
Doutzen goes to the gym, 3 times a week, and focus on muscles and toning.
“Many women who are a little bit overweight shun doing workouts using weights because they say that they don’t want to end up with big muscles. However many personal trainers say that the most effective way to lose the last few inches of fat off the body is to tone and strengthen the muscles.”

“Not only will you be burning off more calories every day with this extra muscle but you will be standing more confidently and you will feel stronger. In any case you can always stop doing weight workouts if you think you are becoming too muscular.”

Over her career she worked for Tommy Hilfiger, Gucci, Escada, Dolce & Gabbana, Valentino, Versace, Hugo Boss, Guerlain, Bottega Veneta, De Beers, Escada, GAP, Gianfranco Ferre, and Neiman Marcus. The year 2005 was the moment she became famous; By Vogue magazine she was named “Model of the Year” and was named spokesmodel for the Calvin Klein “Eternity” fragrance campaign, replacing actress Scarlett Johansson. In April 2006, she signed a contract with L’Oréal Paris, for three-years.
