From 26 octobre 2012 untill 13 January 2013 the photographer Diane Arbus rules the photomuseum FOAM in Amsterdam. The photographer who killed herself in 1971, is known of black and white photo’s of ‘bizar people’, minorities, people with distinctive behaviour or looks. She observed these people in a human-way, although she was critical, the people always kept their dignity.
During her life she was known as a innovative documentary photographer,
but after her death she became mythical. The imperfections she photographed feel like they symbolize her own. There is a (fictional) movie made about her life: FUR
